Brannen Woodwinds was started in Chicago in 1967. In 1970 we moved to the present location, and in 1975 formed our partnership. Bill's repair experience began in Chicago in 1960, working for Northwestern University faculty and students as well as Chicago Symphony members. He also worked with mouthpiece maker Frank Kaspar. Bill is a graduate of the University of Nebraska. Linda began repairing in 1972 at Brannen Woodwinds and has produced half of the repair work since 1975: she is also responsible for keeping the business running, as well as handling all shipping, appointments, and correspondence. Her experience in performing includes playing, touring and recording with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. Linda is an honors graduate of Northwestern University.
